Uncoiler with Hold Down Roll
The uncoiler utilizes an expansion mandrel, which eliminates segment risers, to securely hold the coil I.D. while unwinding the coil into the slitter entry unit. The expansion mandrel’s unique wedge-block design of hardened steel and bronze shifts the wear surface to the easily, quickly and inexpensively replaced wedges. The uncoiler and its flame-hardened, chrome-plated hold-down roll are both driven to assist feeding material to the pull rolls.
